Hydro-Mechanical GS
Spear
(Patent Pending)
|
The recent acquisition of Thru-Tubing Technology has
allowed Owen to broaden its range of existing services as well
as create new ones.
Thru-Tubing Technology offers a wide range of Thru-Tubing
Tools and has a reputation of developing practical and State
of the Art Tools for the Oil Industry.
One of the tools that has been around for a number of
years, which Thru-Tubing Technology is well known for is the
Reverse Circulating Venturi Jet Junk Basket.
The Venturi was designed for retrieving debris from
well bore, on coiled tubing or threaded pipe. Either gas or
fluid can be used to activate the Tool.
The Venturi can be run below a motor and used for washing
over a fish. Retrieving devices can be placed below the Venturi,
for flow control devices.
|
New Tools are constantly being developed to keep up
with the advancing technology in Drilling and Completion practices.
Two tools that have been recently developed are the Hydro-Mechanical
GS Spear and The High Powered Magnet.
The Hydro-Mechanical GS was developed for Retrieving
Standard Internal Profiles used on Hydraulic Disconnects as
well as Flow Control Devices. Unlike similar tools on the market
this tool is released mechanically and locked by flow.
The High Powered Magnet is unlike other magnets as very
low ferrous content in the debris can be retrieved. For example
it is capable of picking up tungsten carbide.
