Naturally Occuring Radioactive Materials (NORM)

With current
considerations, and regulations influencing Naturally Occurring
Radioactive Material (NORM) policies, the demand to evaluate
potential NORM contamination is becoming exceedingly evident.
ProTechnics Environmental has developed a program to support our
clients by identifying, monitoring and developing procedures for
NORM operations.
ProTechnics Environmental
now offers the following services:
- Training courses and
procedures to institute a functioning program that will fulfill
regulatory requirements
- Radiation
instrumentation sales, service and calibration
- Radioactive analysis of
NORM contaminants (radioactive and chemical analysis)
- Consulting support and
radiological protection evaluation that may be required due to
NORM contamination
- Offsite laboratory to
conduct analysis for radionuclide currently regulated.
- Chemical analysis can
also be performed
Onsite services
include:
- Assessment of external
radiation levels, and identifying potential exposure levels
resulting from NORM contamination.
- Radionuclide detection
and level measurement of contaminated process equipment while
processes on line. This is a non-invasive procedure and will not
impede production
- Remediation and
decontamination of land and equipment
