This instrument is provided with a steady state and an unsteady state or pulse decay measurement of permeability. For gas permeabilities in excess of 1 millidarcy, the steady state measurement is typically used. For gas permeability measurements below 1 millidarcy, the pulse decay measurement is recommended. This instrument is provided with a single core holder for measurements at confining pressure. The system is also provided with software for data acquisition, control, permeability calculation, and report writing.
