This centrifuge can be used to perform all of the following measurements on consolidated, unconsolidated, or fractured core materials at reservoir conditions of pressure and temperature: Capillary Pressure, Relative Permeability, Forced Imbibition, and Wettability index. Gravity drainage and imbibition end points can be determined from the test data. The sample is rotated in a holder at speeds as high as 5000 rpm. The sample can be at reservoir conditions or at atmospheric conditions. The displaced phase is measured with a video camera and strobe light system. The video camera, centrifuge speed, temperature, and sampling interval are computer controlled.
