We’re pleased to announce that Saybolt Amsterdam has achieved additional ISO/IEC 17025 accredited scope.
Many labs can run a test. Accreditation shows that the lab can run it competently, consistently and traceably. ISO/IEC 17025 is the international standard for testing and calibration laboratories. It requires independent assessment of a lab’s technical competence, equipment, method validation, quality management and measurement traceability. The extended scope covers:
-Bio-based carbon content in middle distillates, HVO and blends (EN 16640 Annex B / DIN 51637)
-Density and relative density by digital density meter (ASTM D4052)
-Carbon and hydrogen content by CHN analyzer (ASTM D5291 Procedure C)
Producers, traders, blenders and regulators need independent, accredited results they can rely on, especially when bio-content decides compliance, credits and commercial value.
Why it matters for our clients:
-Accredited bio-content verification to back renewable fuel claims and blending obligations
-One trusted partner for renewable and conventional fuel testing at one of Europe’s key energy hubs
-Defensible data for custody transfer, product quality and regulatory reporting
This extension adds to our renewable fuels capabilities and reflects our commitment to quality, technical excellence and reliable results.
Thank you to our team
New accredited scope doesn’t happen by chance. It takes careful method development, validation, documentation and a strong culture of quality. We want to thank everyone at Saybolt Amsterdam who made this possible. Congratulations to the entire team on this achievement!
