Bringing AERO Intelligence to Conventional Systems
Designed to improve reliability, safety, and speed, AERO Connect™ extends the core benefits of the AERO Perforating System to conventional gun strings — delivering a smarter, addressable, and RF-shielded solution for complex wellsite operations.
From natural completions to high shot-density strings, AERO Connect provides digital control and surface-verifiable confidence where traditional diode and pressure-switch chains fall short.

What Is AERO Connect?
AERO Connect is an intelligent, modular sub-system designed to safely connect and fire one or multiple legacy perforating guns within an addressable, RF-protected environment.
By replacing conventional diode and pressure-switch firing chains with a digital, surface-verifiable platform, AERO Connect enhances operational control, improves system diagnostics, and reduces the risk of misfires or full-string failures.
AERO Connect Flexibility
AERO Connect is designed for operators who need flexibility, configurability, and confidence when running complex gun strings.
Whether in natural completions with multiple guns, high shot density operations, or extended gun strings (3–21 ft), AERO Connect enables selective firing and real-time surface verification without replacing existing charge inventory.
The system supports configurable select-fire assemblies — including:
- Gun + Plug
- Gun + Stim Tube
- Gun + Cutter
- Multiple Gun Strings

This allows operators to tailor each run to the application. In Plug & Abandonment (P&A) operations, it enables plug setting and perforating in the same trip, reducing time and risk. By modernizing legacy gun systems with addressable control and modular design, AERO Connect delivers greater operational flexibility, faster decision-making, and reduced exposure to single-point failures.
Key Applications
- High shot-density operations with long gun strings (3 ft – 21 ft)
- Natural completions requiring multiple guns to be reliably connected and fired
- Legacy gun systems needing alignment with modern safety standards
- Operations requiring skip-fire capability or downhole diagnostics
- Environments with RF exposure or stray voltage risk
- Plug & Abandonment operations requiring plug setting and perforation in the same run

Legacy Compatibility
•Supports a wide range of Owen gun sizes and lengths
•Brings AERO system intelligence to existing gun inventories

Modular Architecture
•Easily integrates into multiple string configurations
•Scales from single-gun to long, multi-gun assemblies

RF & Voltage Isolation
•Provides an additional safety barrier against RF exposure and stray voltage
•Achieved through integration with the AERO Control module

Addressable Switching
•Enables skip-firing of individual guns if an issue is detected
•Prevents full-string failure due to a single gun malfunction

Surface Verification
•Allows gun-string health checks before and during run-in-hole
•Improves confidence and reduces troubleshooting time at surface
