North East Basins, Brazil – Reservoirs and Seals

Sergipe, Alagoas, Camamu, Almada and Jequitinhonha Basins

Core Laboratories is pleased to present a regional geological evaluation of reservoirs, source rock and seal horizons from the North Eastern Offshore Basins of Brazil, encompassing the Sergipe, Alagoas, Camamu, Almada and Jequitinhonha basins. The study utilized well and rock-based data from 84 offshore wells, including core, cuttings, SWC, well log data and fluid samples.

The database incorporates 58 wells drilled between 2000 and 2015, for which new data was acquired. In addition, a substantial legacy dataset from 26 wells, previously studied by Core Lab in 2003, has been enhanced with results from new analyses. Integration of these multi-disciplinary datasets enabled a synthesis of regional paleogeography and basin development through time, as well as providing constraints for existing and evolving seismic-based regional exploration models.
