Extention of the Wilrich Reconnaissance and Regional Study
After a successful joint industry project (JIP) focused on the Wilrich Member for the Spirit River Formation, the Integrated Reservoir Solutions Division of Core Laboratories has decided to extend this current study to include the entire Spirit River Formation.
The Spirit River Formation is the second top hydrocarbon producing formation in Canada, following shortly behind the Montney Formation. Learnings from the Wilrich JIP will be applied and adapted to the Falher and Notikewin Members to properly evaluate and exploit these targets, integrating all available data sets to aid operators in the optimization of developing and completing these plays.
